Part of the Story
The Incomplete Artist
"The Incomplete Artist" was written when I projected that my role at Global Affairs Canada would end, and then it did. Treasury Board cuts. How it goes.
For the first time in my life my kids were grown and we had to pivot.
My husband also was let go from the CRA. We both really loved our jobs too.
I had declared one evening a year previously how, "I think I'd like to try living in a village." Its always been bigger cities. We ended up raising our kids in Ottawa.

I relate to being an incomplete artist. I have spent the last two years revisiting old projects and working on new ones. The difference is - they are my own pieces of writing and I've always worked for others. Not that I don't want to, it's just gratifying to flesh out ideas that have been waiting on the back burner, stewing for years. Imagine how good they might be, ageing all this time...

"The Incomplete Artist" has 8 Chapters, and depending where you are in life, you will relate to them differently.

I have been working hard to create a what I believe to be a satisfying in person experience. Something you'll walk away from and then slip into summer to digest but also start to contemplate for the day after Labour Day. This is my ideal approach with the larger vision projects.

There will also be four additional speakers to cover chapter headers - speakers who are living constantly between, "The Artist meets the Entrepreneur.
Check out the Eventbrite. Read their bios. Support their work.
They are support for you! They are so inspiring and just lovely in a room.
They are living and dreaming big.

Coming up June 25th, "The Incomplete Artist" will be at
The Pews in Merrickville.
Bridging artistry and livelihood.

"Hello. I am your incomplete artist." This is how I start many of my vlogs on instagram @incompleteartist. Please follow me there as I am building that platform. It's also me at my truest, walking with my dogs and camera in nature. I share production processes, inspired moments, and stories as they come to me. I have a diverse backstory to draw from. From producing Canada's top ministers and parliamentary secretaries as director/editor and photographer for Global Affairs Canada, to hundreds of interviews and projects with people from all walks of life, memorably Fight for the Cure and CAPSA, I produce others and help tell their stories with writing and imagery. Check out my filmmaker bio at Freedomcreative.ca
Currently I am in preproduction on my first feature.

I am also writing and giving workshops. And now hosting the live event, "The Artist Meets the Entrepreneur." The vision for that is me meeting my entrepreneur. Eek!
